GROVIA

Picture
GroVia’s cloth diapers – like all GroVia products – are free of harsh chemicals and toxins, making them gentler on baby and better for our planet.
What is the GroVia Diapering System?
GroVia is a modern, one-size diapering system. Its unique, waterproof shell and organic cotton soaker pad minimizes waste and cost. When the soaker pad is wet, simply replace with a fresh, dry one!
How does GroVia work?
GroVia is designed so that the outer shells may be used for multiple diaper changes. If the soaker pad is wet, simply snap in a fresh one and you are ready to go.  If the shell is wet, allow it to air dry and use for the next diaper change.  When your GroVia Shell is soiled or very saturated, start fresh with a new GroVia Shell.
Most GroVia System users will find that using 2-4 GroVia Shells are enough per day, although newborn babies may need more.
How does the one-size feature on my GroVia work?
GroVia will fit MOST babies from 8-35 lbs. The GroVia Shell features three sets of rise snaps that adjust to fit your baby. Our unique one-size Organic Soaker Pad fits from 8-35 lbs as well.
Newborn/Small Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the lowest setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and simply flip the front of the soaker pad in towards baby. Fastened diaper on baby.
Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the middle setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell. Tuck the front of your soaker pad down, while pulling the front panel up and fasten on baby.
Toddler Setting: Leave your GroVia Shell rise snaps unsnapped. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and fasten on baby

**When I first started using GroVia, I used them on my 18 month old and 3 year old, at the same time.  Now that my 3rd baby is here, I've been using them since she was born.  They really do fit all sizes of babies, it is wonderful.  I love the GroVia system because it is an All in Two, that means, the covers do not have to be washed as often as the inserts.  This saves money on washing and life on the system.  I found that compared to the all in one diapers, the GroVia will last longer because the shells do not have to be washed every time.  My all in one diapers have not lasted as long because the covers are attached and they get washed everytime.

I have chosen to only sell the GroVia Snap sets because after 1 year of using the velcro, the velcro does not seem to be sticking as much.  I have a few colors that my son wanted to wear all the time, now that my new baby is using them, there is not much stick left in them.  I will be converting all of my velcro to snap, even the ones in good condition.  So, after trying and testing both, I have found the snap to be much better.

The GroVia diapering system truly is wonderful and versatile.  I have a bunch of prefolds that I used to use as overnight boosters for my older children, now I can use them as the insert for my infant, with a GroVia shell.  Instead of sitting in my drawers not getting used, I'm getting to use the prefolds too!  You can also use the shells as covers for any type of cloth diaper, I do that too.  However, I love GroVia so much, I'm in the process of converting to all GroVia and selling off my other stash.

If there is something from the GroVia line that isn't on my website and you need, please use the contact form and let me know, I'll get it for you.  Also, if you need a complete package for a newborn, toddler, etc, let me know, we can customize and build it together.

Wet bags and travel totes are a necessity when cloth diapering! Water resistant and colorful, they close with a drawstring and toggle.

You NEED one of these.  I keep mine inside a plastic container, with the diapers inside. When it is washing day, I put it and the diapers together in the washing machine.

Happy Heinys - Training Pants

Picture
We’ve redesigned our training pants with your busy toddler in mind! Snaps can be added for ease in messy clean ups and to make stuffing easier. Snaps will be added to one side or the side can be sewn shut for our older bed wetters.

Makes it easy for potty training as they can pull up and down with the elastic waistband. This is also good for older children with bed wetting issues. Quick on and off. Like our diapers, we use custom milled fleece in our trainers and an outer PUL layer to hold in wetness.

Happy Heinys Trainers have been child tested and last 12+ hours overnight with absolutely no wicking for most children. Happy Heinys® Trainers are available in a variety of solid colors. They have a 100% poly laminated outer layer and work wonderfully for potty learners who still need protection overnight.  Happy Heinys have won many parent awards, you will love them.

We are using the Happy Heinys Trainers on our 3 and 4 year old overnight right now, without snaps, so they feel like pull-ups, which they previously used at night.  We stuff them with 1 prefold and 2 micro fleece liners.  I had the prefolds already, so I'm getting more use out of them.  If you have prefolds, you can use them or order stuffins from me by Happy Heinys.

**I can order any color combination you need for these, so if you don't seem them here, just fill out a contact form and I'll order what you need.  The Happy Heinys Trainers come with No Snaps, 1 Side Snaps or Both Side Snaps.  My older children use them with no snaps, but for younger children, the both side snaps are much easier.

Are you tired of purchasing absorbency boosters for your diapers that only work with one brand? No matter how well they may work, it can be frustrating to be limited to only part time usage. With our hemp Stuffins, you no longer have to compromise convenience for absorbency! Our Stuffins truly are the extreme in absorbency, packing a punch in 7 layers of hemp fleece in the core of your diaper. Our Stuffins are a two part system, one large contoured insert with a small pouch pocket to insert one of our ovals (one included with the insert). Additional ovals can be used as well to boost your baby’s wettest zones.

Our design allows for adjust-ability, slide your oval insert up to the top for little boys who will wet heavily in the front, more towards the middle for little girls who favor that wetness pattern. Stuffins are an incredibly trim insert, and our wide contour allows for a great fit in most pocket diapers, including one size pocket diapers. They are also perfect for folding in prefolds, laying behind fitted diapers, or laying on top of all in ones.

In short, they work just about anywhere you need them to, without compromising fit or the design of your existing diapers. When paired with our Happy Heiny microfiber inserts you create a two part insert system that allows for "quick" catching of urine, then the hard-working hemp behind it to really contain and slowly distribute wetness.

Stuffins will look and feel too big for the diapers once initially received. They do need to be prewashed, 2-3 times to have them be "so so" ready for your diapers, 4-5 times to really become fully primed for use. They truly do get better with age, and are durable enough to last through hundreds of washings.

Our specially manufactured microfiber terry inserts are made of 3 layers of soft and very absorbent microfiber. They are completely chemical free. They have been designed to fit perfectly in our pocket diapers. They are a contoured shape for the very best fit.

***I use 2 of these every night on top of our prefolds inside our Happy Heiny Training pants, they allow for "quick" catching of the urine, I highly recommend putting them in your trainers for overnight use.

Top 10 Reasons To Use Cloth Diapers

Top 10 Reasons to Use Cloth Diapers by Susan K. Dodge-Doak

1. Your baby's comfort.

Would you like to wear stiff paper (and/or plastic) underwear 24 hours a day? The comfort of cotton and knowing I was providing the best possible comfort for my daughter was the #1 reason I switched to cloth diapers, and why I still love them so much today.

2. The environment.

Leave a cleaner world behind for your baby, and your grandchildren. Disposables leave behind an average of 2.7 tons of non-biodegradable waste (not to mention the waste produced by manufacturing them alone) per child. Compare that to a few dozen cotton diapers, and the responsible choice also becomes an easy one.

3. Save money.

With disposables, some estimate you spend an average of $2000 per child. Cloth compares at only an average of $150-$350 per child (with the added but minimal cost of electricity and water to launder them). What a great excuse to start a college fund for your baby now, and you can rest assure that your money is being well-spent and not going to "waste" in a land-fill!

4. Potty training is easier, and happens earlier.

It's a little-known fact that cloth diaper children potty train earlier, and with less effort on their parent's part. This has mostly to do with the fact that when a cloth diaper is wet, they can feel the sensation. Chemical laden disposables can feel so dry, your baby never gets a chance to understand what their body is doing.

5. Cotton diapers are gel free.

Polyacrylate gel in diapers is a relatively new phenomenon, and no one really knows what the long term effects are. It also leaches moisture from your babies skin. Additionally, disposables are full of dioxins. While non-organic cotton cloth diapers can also have dioxins, they typically are washed out within the first few pre-washes (before your baby will ever wear them), however one-use-only disposables are never rid of them. Additionally, and perhaps the most compelling reason to use cloth diapers, is that disposable diapers containing polyacrylate gel are suspected of exacerbating, and even causing, asthma.

6. Cloth diapers are so much better looking.

Photographers still traditionally photograph diapered babies in cloth diapers, simply because they are so much cuter! Today they are available in as many prints and colors as their are fabrics available, not to mention the combination of choices you have with twill, flannel, hemp, terry and more. Imagine how many classic baby photos would suddenly become less "quaint" with a baby wrapped in a disposable diaper. I prefer to bring my groceries home in paper and plastic, not my baby!

7. More fun for Mom.

While not every mother (or woman, for that matter) is a born "shopaholic", most moms I know just love how fun it is to shop for cloth diapers. There are unlimited choices today in cloth diapering, like all-in-one, terry, flannel, contour, prefold, fitted and other contemporary-style cloth diapers. And when you are on a budget, swapping is a great, and economical, way to try the latest new "rage" in cloth diapers.

8. Better cushioning for baby's bum.

We all know that babies and toddlers have their fair share of bumps and spills! Cushy cotton provides a much softer "landing pad" than a flat paper diaper.

9. Convenience.

Convenience? Yes, convenience! You'll never have to worry about making another late-night trip to your grocery store for a package of disposable diapers.. You'll never have to hold your nose while emptying and re-bagging one of those complicated "Diaper Genie" contraptions.. And you'll have approximately two bags less of garbage to haul to the curb every week!

10. Being a leader is much more fun than being a follower.

Stand out from the crowd and show you care to give your baby the very best, including the way you diaper. It's so much more fun to share the joy of cloth diapering with other mothers (who are usually very curious!), than to waste time clipping the latest coupons for the cheapest disposable paper diaper.
